Senior Shoot - Rachel

I am so excited to share some of the pictures that I took of my sister over the weekend! We have been trying to set up a time for me to take her SENIOR pictures (yes, she is a senior already...scary!!!). We didn't get to take as many pictures as I had hoped because the sun started to go down but that just gives me an excuse to see her again soon :) My sister is beautifulll!

Senior Shoot - Aly

Over the weekend, I got to take picture of a beautiful senior named Aly. I am so thankful that her family trusted Robert and I to take them on an adventure out in Midland to find the perfect spot to take her pictures. Despite getting lost along the way, I think that our little adventure paid off. Check out this girl's gorgeous brown eyes!

Atlanta: Day 2 (better late than never!)

I have not had access to wireless internet for the past few days which is why this post is a little late. Nevertheless, here are the rest of my pictures from Atlanta. During day two of our trip, we visited the fountains at Centennial Park and got to see the retirement of Bobby Cox at Braves game! It was an awesome weekend!

Atlanta: Day 1 (plus HDR software!!)

Today is my first day in Atlanta and I am loving it so far! There is so much to do and I am excited about exploring with Anna tomorrow. I am also really stoked about getting to experiment with the new HDR software that I got! I have had the trial version for a few days and Anna was nice enough to share her license key with me so I get to use the real version. Hopefully I will get the hang of how to use it over the next few days.

Oh Deer!!

While I was making lunch in my kitchen this afternoon, I noticed that there were three deer outside of my window; a mom and her two babies!! I dropped my fork and ran to grab my camera. It was hard to get good pictures from inside so I tried to sneak outside to get a little closer. Surprisingly, the mom let me get pretty close to her.

Bali Hai

Today I got to go to Bali Hai in Durham with my friends Anna and Kelsey! This place is so much fun and I forgot how much I loved it! It is sort of a buffet-style restaurant; you pay for a bowl and then you cram as much food as you can into the bowl. They will cook whatever you can fit into the bowl.

After dinner, the three of us walked across the street to a school playground where we took some pictures and met a dog named Ella. She LOVED to run and roll around in the grass. It was pretty darn cute. Then we went to a dessert cafe and did a little bit of shopping at Old Navy. It was the perfect ending to a perfect night :)

Washington, D.C.

This weekend was amazing!! I got to go to Washington, D.C. with one of my best friends Rachel. Neither of us had ever been and we decided that we needed to go. Over the course of 48 hours, we drove over 500 miles, walked at least 20 miles, saw 3 huge rallies at the White House, went to the top of the Washington monument, walked through Arlington Cemetery, toured Madam Tussaud's Wax Museum, enjoyed a cupcake from Georgetown Cupcake (the bakery where D.C. cupcakes is filmed by TLC!!!), walked to Capitol Hill, saw all of the Smithsonian Museums, got in some quality shopping time, took the Metro to the National Zoo, and almost scored free tickets to a Manchester United game!! Here is a handful of the many pictures that I took while in D.C.
